I have been feeling so inspired lately, but I haven't actually had the time to paint! It's SO depressing! Every day I have this feeling, like all I want to do is go to my easel and just paint, for hours, but there is always something in the way: homework, classes, work, having to wake up early the next day for an appointment- always something!!! ::sigh:: I'm so tired lately from everything that tonight I am even missing my friend's Bday party. I wanna go but it's so far and I'm tired and have shit to do! AHHH I'm a bad friend!!! :C But I have canvasses to prepare and drawings to do!!! ONWARD TO ART-MAKING!!!!! So, I had 2 paintings in a gallery in Phoenix. And....ONE OF THEM HAS SOLD!!!! For a pretty large chunk of change, I might add! (Hello new art supplies!) ;) The painting that sold was Woman of the Congo 2. I've been paid for commissioned drawings before, but nothing like this- this is a whole new level of artsy success! haha Anyway, so now that I have work in galleries and am actually SELLING ART through these galleries (OMG SO COOL!!!) I wonder.....can I now call myself an artist? I've always avoided calling myself that, because so many people call themselves artists who, well let's face it, SUCK and have absolutely no talent or training. I

That's right, I have finally got some of my stuff in a gallery! YAY! My two paintings "Woman of the Congo 1" and "Woman of the Congo 2" are in Blink Gallery in Phoenix, AZ and will be there for the next couple months.
